The organization structure and operation mechanism of the engineering research center of the ministry of education of biological oil recovery

 

A supporting institution:

       The engineering research center of the ministry of education for biological oil recovery is based on east China university of science and technology. In view of the countries in the related fields of biological production and demand, the center for national 863 key projects, special research and development of the national key projects and key projects of national natural science foundation of key projects, the Ministry of Education, Shanghai significant basic research projects and international cooperation projects, petrochina, sinopec and cnooc enterprise cooperation projects such as a large number of key scientific and engineering research and development tasks. The centre has cooperated with the institute of microbiology of the Russian academy of sciences, the university of Hong Kong, the university of Oklahoma, the university of Cambridge in the United States and other universities in the basic and applied fields of biological oil recovery, and jointly trained postdoctoral and doctoral students. The research achievements in the process and regulation mechanism of microbial oil flooding and the process optimization of microbial oil flooding have been reported at more than 20 international conferences and published more than 160 SCI papers. In terms of biological oil recovery, 56 invention patents were applied for and 31 were authorized. The microbial oil recovery technology has won the second prize of national science and technology progress award (2010) and the first prize of Shanghai science and technology progress award (2008).

 

To build the unit:

       The joint construction unit of the engineering center is daqing huali biotechnology co., LTD. China biological oil recovery technology and application, and the two sides jointly build a pilot scale, engineering, technology transfer and industrial application technology platform, covering an area of 40,000 ㎡. It has built an energy biotechnology laboratory and a standardized production line of microbial oil displacement agent and biological surfactant. Relying on the engineering center, it has successively undertaken the key projects of national 863 plan and carried out the engineering application of biological oil recovery, and achieved remarkable economic and social benefits. The biosurfactant was awarded as the national key new product and the outstanding product of China hi-tech fair. It has successively won the title of high-tech enterprise of heilongjiang province and the outstanding enterprise in the biomedical industry of the 7th China innovation and entrepreneurship competition, and has become the only enterprise in the biological field in heilongjiang province that has been selected into the excellent enterprise list of the ministry of science and technology. Won the first and second prizes of daqing city science and technology progress, the third prize of heilongjiang province science and technology, and the first prize of China's industry-university-research cooperation innovation achievements.

Introduction to the center:

       At present, China is faced with the outstanding problems of energy shortage and the failure of effective exploitation of a large number of petroleum resources. Due to technical constraints, the national average recovery rate is less than 35 percent, about two-thirds of the oil resources remain in the ground to be developed. Bio-fruit oil is an economical and effective method to enhance oil recovery, which has attracted much attention in the world. The engineering research center for biological oil recovery of the ministry of education was approved by the ministry of education in October 2013 (education technical letter [2013] no. The engineering research center has four platforms of key generic technology r&d, engineering, pilot scale up and technology transfer. Professor mou bozhong serves as the director of the engineering center.

       The center undertakes a number of key scientific research tasks of the state, the ministry of education and Shanghai municipality. It has a long-term cooperative relationship with petrochina, sinopec and cnooc. In addition, he has carried out international/regional cooperative research and joint doctoral and post-doctoral training with colleagues from the university of Hong Kong, the university of Oklahoma, the university of Cambridge, the university of duisburg, the institute of microbiology, the Russian academy of sciences, CSIRO, Australia and other relevant institutions.

Positioning of center:

       Aiming at the frontier of international technology and national demand, we will develop complete sets of technologies and equipment for microbial oil flooding and biochemical compound oil flooding for reservoir protection development. We will integrate superior resources, pool innovative talents, undertake major tasks, and produce major results. We will build an open platform for bio-oil production technology, and form a bio-oil production technology research base integrating talent training, technology development, engineering research, technology transfer, information sharing, and international cooperation. Promote technological progress in the industry and enhance international competitiveness.

Research and development direction:

       Aiming at high water cut reservoir and depleted reservoirs and other low grade complex reservoirs, sustainable development, effectively improve the level of oil and gas resources development in economy as the goal, key generic technology on displacement with biological and chemical engineering, biological recognition system and industrial application, depleted reservoirs biological modification, CO2 reservoir environment biological transformation and utilization of research and development.

Regulation technology of microbial oil recovery

       High-throughput screening and flora construction of oil producing bacteria; Combined microbial oil displacement technology; Germ bank and resource sharing; Biological production specifications and standards.

Biogasification technology for low grade reservoir

       Construction, community structure and function evaluation techniques of methanogens from hydrocarbon degradation; Mechanism and influencing factors of petroleum hydrocarbon anaerobic biodegradation in reservoir environment; Field injection and monitoring and evaluation techniques.

Development and application of biological surfactant

       Microbial biosurfactant and industrial production technology; Development and application of bio-based surfactant for oil displacement; Construction and optimization of biological complex system and its industrial application.

Fixed conversion and resource utilization of CO2 under reservoir conditions

       Transformation functional flora analysis technique; Activity analysis and regulation of functional flora; Reservoir screening and evaluation techniques; Injection design and optimization techniques.
